Guidance not on the capturing of images and/or videos in relation to GDPR
This covers the use of images of member (and other non-member or people), including photos and vodeos, for SNPUK’s own purposes. It also applies to images already stored on our databases, as well as to those which will be caapured in the future.
It is unlikely to be personal data where the image is of a crowd (and not focus on one individual or a group of individuals). There by – data protection law will not therefore apply.
This further means that:
- consent will not be required to publish those images. As non of the collected images are or will be used for commercial purpose.
- There is no requirement to provide privacy consent information to all the individuals in the image. However if any individual is not happy his/her image we are happy to remove or fade in.
- Furthermore, there is no personal data is being processed or stored by SNPUK.
- Individual committee member’s images have been used in
Executive Committeesection. Here, all the member’s of SNPUK are happy and agree for using their images in the website. We are also prepared to receive objections from the individual to remove their image.
What is required under GDPR?
The goal of GDPR is to protect user’s personally identifying information (PII) and hold businesses to a higher standard when it comes to how they collect, store, and use this data.
The personal data includes: name, emails, physical address, IP address, health information, income, etc.
Here, we are using Contact form : which basically accept some of your PII and email that into our Gmail account ie. we do not store or process those information into hosting platform.
Furthermore we are also using Google Analytics which basically tracks the IP address (location), cookies and cookies are not being used for any behaviour profiling. By clicking on “You Agree” button you (the visitor) consent and happy for us processing those PII.
We have planned not collect any comments from anyone.
Non of the images, videos or mp3 are used for commercial purpose.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. The cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
For admin or editor user only: When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We are happy to receive any suggestion to remove or update any PII based information.

Your contact information are being stored under the secured Gmail account under the supervision of the executive committee member. And further you can request to delete anytime.
